They did when we went a few days ago. My girlfriend who loves fish fry was wowed
Busy but it is great seeing people enjoying good food and drinks!!
Very good food, excellent wait staff, free popcorn
One of the best local pubs. Great burgers, wraps and French onion soup. Their Reuben is the best
My first time there. The grilled steak salad was very good. French onion soup de-lish.
A town classic. What's to complain about? Always feel at home there. Best coconut shrimp in the hemisphere. It's a family place.
Great food and pub like atmosphere! Trivia nights are fun and entertaining.
Had a terrible lunch. My chicken caesar wrap was hot so the lettuce was wilted and slimy. And it took 45 mins to get my food.
I've always enjoyed the food here. Decent variety of beer on tap. Shepherd's Pie, fish fry, burgers all great. Free popcorn! Wait staff can be inattentive, especially when it's busy. If you want the fish fry on Fridays during Lent, go early, or be prepared to have a couple beers while you wait for a table. Seafood specials are always good, as well - although a bit pricey for my budget.
Great food at a great price. Everything from fried foods to grilled Salmon or Scallop dinners. The Reubens are the best in town bar none. Freshly cooked corned beef, crisp rye bread, the perfect amount of melted swiss make for a great lunch, dinner or late night snack. Trivia night every Thursday is always a blast.
Always good food, generous portions, and friendly service.
A quant little bar. The service is awesome and the food was delicious
Good place for lunch; a little loud around dinner time. Decent beer selection, and free popcorn at the bar. I recommend the fries with gravy and the burgers.
Food was great. I was pleasantly surprised to see vegetarian options although not advertised. We went on a night there were live jazz musicians. The ambience was terrific. Waitstaff was prompt and attentive. the margaritas were awesome. I can't wait to go again...UPDATE.....sadly they closed down I heard due to retirement of owner. Hopefully someone will buy it and keep it like it was.
Great atmosphere and a great menu always equal a winner
Great neighborhood bar restaurant. GOod live Music and hearty food.
So sad to say it because I usually enjoy the atmosphere here and have been coming for years, but the service/food the last three times has been beyond poor. Even when pointed out (and could have been made better) the attitude was "oh well too bad for you." Will not return.
Great fish fry tonight. Beer selection good. Service exceptional.
Good food reasonable prices. Pub atmosphere.
Awesome wings and Reubens. Guiness on draught
My absolute favorite place !!! The food is so good and the Owner ..love Katie!!!
Very good food and service! Not the best part of town
First time for me, second time for my wife. Food was very good as well as the service. I had the pot roast and potatoes, while she had the crab cakes. No complaints. Given that it was Saturday at around six, they weren't packed. Overall, I would recommend it.
This was our first time and we were very pleasantly surprised. The soup was delicious, the portions were large and the bartender made an awesome margarita! So worth the stop!
Food terrific. Nice atmosphere. Nice people.
Food is of great quality here. Has that sort of community cornerstone feel. Great beer/wine selection as well.
Great food, great drinks, excellent atmosphere.
Great pub! Always a hot tasty meal, great service and reasonable prices. Off the beaten path, but so worth finding! I think District Radio plays here...
Good fish fry and Sheppard pie. Great coffee and service
Good simple food and friendly staff.
Excellent calamari, excellent service, loved the environment. True Irish pub. Will be back!
Lunch there almost every week day for years now. The chef is very creative. The staff very personable and attentive. Kate is great. And they finally got a new popcorn maker.
I want to love this place, but 3 out of the 4 times I've been, there has been something wrong with my food order and the wait staff has been inattentive... Good atmosphere though.
Great food, live jazz on Wednesdays. Open for lunch!
Always love the food. Unfortunately, the best times to go are always really busy (St. Patricks day is the busiest!). I just went for the Alive at 5 concert and it was a fantastic time.
Great place to hang out. A pleasant ambiance with live music booked frequently and very good cuisine.
We were with a large group (14 people) not one person said that would go back. Several things stand out ,1. it was very loud, with the lack of decor there was nothing to soften sound.2. Very limited menu, with prices that made it expensive.3. Way too limited on the beverage choices, ended up ordering coffee no spoon. Had to stir with my fork. 4. Most of my group were not overly impressed with the quality of the food. ( I had a Ruben it was good)5. Ok so we were in a group, so the tip was included. However they added all 14 persons tabs together came up with one total which they then divided by 14. Now I know that what I ordered was more than they charged, so somebody paid for part of my meal. Overall not impressed, and neither were the rest of my group.
The new owners have done a very nice job adding life to a historic property, keeping the best parts of the past and adding several new twists.
We were in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. There was a "blackened prime rib sandwich" which by all means we love blackened food but this was burnt and had no taste. The prime rib was literally two centimeters thick, served with a few pieces of spinach and a piece of tomato. The best thing going for it was the hamburger roll it was served on. My delicious sandwich was served with a side of sour coleslaw which started to curdle. I would have loved to tell the waitress or anyone willing to listen how my food was but no one ever even came over to ask. Sadly the special of the day left a bad taste in our mouths, and no refills to wash it done.
Excellent food, comfortable atmosphere and good prices!
Wonderful food. Loved the French onion soup. Other hor dourves were great. French fries were delicious. Will definitely be going bsck
Great salads and sandwiches. Relaxing setting. Beautiful bar! Love this place.
Nice atmosphere...food could have been better and service should have been better..
The French onion soup is awesome. Highly recommend
Great meal and service all the way through. Beer selection is great too.
Went to meet some friends who were in town and wanted to find a quiet place to have some drinks. Major problem was it was trivia night and extremely noisy. So if you are looking for a semi-quiet place for dining do not go here on a Thursday night.
Beverage and food served was really good, as always. Yum! Server was appropriately attentive.
Elmira cocktail bar!
Great time with great friends, food, drinks and services were awesome! Large party to attend to. Our waitress was great. Didn't come around too much or too little.
Always have a great meal. Favorites are the pecan chicken, fish fry and prime rib on Saturday.
